Passwords

Easy to remember – Hard to guess

  • Not related to public information (like social media)
  • Do not write it down on paper or sticky notes!
  • Avoid storing passwords in Excel sheets or notepads.
  • Do not reuse passwords! Each system should have a unique password.
  • Use a password manager (like KeePass) to keep track of them.
  • Do not share passwords with anyone! Your username and password are personal and should never be shared.

How to create a strong password?

  • Use 12 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, and a special character (*#!? etc.).
  • Always enable MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) whenever possible.
